Earlier insufficient UREA and now the allocation of DAP to private players will cost our FARMERS.

In Punjab, most of the diammonium phosphate (DAP) fertilizer for the upcoming wheat season will be sold by private dealers. They have been given more than 90% of the total allocated amount, which is 1,30,000 metric tonnes. This is happening even though the primary agriculture cooperative societies have very little DAP fertilizer in stock. Out of the 1,30,000 metric tonnes of DAP provided by the Central Government, private traders now have 1,20,000 metric tonnes to sell.
